The Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship equips you with essential expertise to transform concepts into viable business ventures and drive workplace innovation. You'll develop an entrepreneurial approach, practice design thinking methodologies, and master practical tools for bringing ideas to life.
During your studies, our faculty will guide you through key areas including innovative leadership strategies, entrepreneurial finance, overcoming innovation challenges, business planning for innovation, and new product development and promotion. You'll acquire specialized knowledge in securing funding and managing the complete innovation lifecycle from conception to commercialization.
This program offers the unique opportunity to assess the viability of your own business concept. You'll develop skills to analyze opportunities through financial, technical, and legal lenses while gaining comprehensive insights into modern product development and marketing processes.
Your learning culminates in an industry research project where you'll implement your acquired skills in a real-world setting.
The Master of Financial Management helps advance your career by building expertise in financial planning, resource allocation, and investment strategies. The curriculum covers critical areas including portfolio management, financial planning, corporate financial analysis, and understanding international financial markets and statistical applications in business.
This accelerated dual-degree package enables completion of two master's programs in two years instead of the typical three. After finishing your initial 1.5-year master's, you'll receive advanced standing (36 credit points) toward your second degree, allowing completion in just two additional trimesters. Business or Commerce graduates may qualify for additional credits, potentially completing both programs in under two years.
A recognised bachelor degree with an equivalent average mark of 50%; or a UOW Graduate Certificate in Business; or Graduate Certificate in Innovation Entrepreneurship. Other tertiary qualifications combined with extensive professional work experience will be considered.
