The Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) is a three-year, intensive specialist training program designed for qualified dentists, accredited by the Australian Dental Council (ADC) for specialist registration with AHPRA.
Students can specialize in areas including Dento-maxillofacial Radiology, Endodontics, Oral Medicine, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, or Paediatric Dentistry, learning from expert practitioners. Specialization options depend on annual availability, with intakes at the start of each year. Graduates become eligible for dental specialist registration in Australia and New Zealand. Our facilities feature cutting-edge digital technologies like CBCT, CADCAM, and 3dMD, alongside advanced endodontic equipment, surgical microscopes, and modern research infrastructure.
This program combines coursework with a supervised research component, covering subjects such as biostatistics, research methods, maxillofacial imaging, specialized dental practice, and discipline-specific research. The curriculum blends lectures, weekly seminars, journal discussions, clinical work, and research projects. Students benefit from interdisciplinary learning opportunities, with research methodology and projects accounting for 25% of the program's requirements.
