Anatomy and histology explores the composition of living organisms. Your journey begins with examining cellular architecture (histology) along with fundamental tissues in mammalian biology and musculoskeletal anatomy. In advanced years, the curriculum branches into four specialized fields: topographical anatomy (focusing on bones, muscles, nerves, and blood vessels); neuroanatomy (the structure and arrangement of the nervous system); histology (microscopic examination of cells and tissues); and embryology (tracking development from fertilization to fetal stage). Dissection is incorporated into the learning process.
The combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Nursing program enhances analytical abilities while investigating various scientific domains. You'll fulfill core requirements, introductory electives, and select a Science major, supplemented by additional electives to meet credit requirements from disciplinary or shared course pools.
Initial studies focus exclusively on science before introducing nursing coursework in the second year. Progression to the Master of Nursing requires meeting academic benchmarks. The nursing curriculum blends theoretical study with extensive hands-on training, including over 800 hours of clinical placements throughout the degree.
