The University of Queensland (UQ) serves as Australia's leading research institution in food science and technology. The Graduate Certificate in Food Science and Technology offers professionals an excellent opportunity to enhance their career opportunities across various sectors including government, industry, community organizations, and research institutions within the food science and technology domain.
This half-year program equips students with both theoretical understanding and practical expertise to address pressing worldwide issues like global food security, environmental sustainability, biosecurity threats, and resource scarcity.
Participants gain access to the state-of-the-art Food Science Innovation Precinct for teaching and research purposes, along with the ability to customize their learning path through specialized electives in areas such as business management, agricultural sciences, and biotechnological applications.
Bachelor degree in any field, with UQ or equivalent GPA of 5 or above on a 7 point scale, with approved tertiary level background in chemistry or biology; or
2 years of work experience in the same discipline.

For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19. TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5. Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands. BEP - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills. CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands. OET is not accepted.
