The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD Plus) is a four-year, full-time equivalent doctoral research program comprising 96 credit points (CP). This advanced degree spans multiple disciplines across our university's faculties, research centers, and institutes. Research candidates will undertake specialized, independent investigations under academic guidance, presenting their findings through either a written thesis, collection of published works, or creative output accompanied by critical analysis. The program includes up to 12CP of coursework to be finished within the initial two semesters for full-time students, or across four semesters for part-time participants. The PhD Plus offers graduates a competitive edge by integrating professional development opportunities, including industry collaborations and practical placements, which are formally recognized components of this innovative degree.

Qualification Requirements
For admission to postgraduate courses, international students who have not completed an Australian qualification must have appropriate educational qualifications, deemed by the University to be equivalent to a bachelor degree awarded by an Australian university.
Academic IELTS of 6.5 or equivalent, with no band score below 6.0; TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 79 with: R: 13; L: 12; S: 18; W: 21; Pearson Test of Academic English: 58 with no skill score below 50; Cambridge English Scale: 176 with no sub-score below 169; Occupational English Test: No grade lower than 'C' in any of the sub-tests.
