Each Master of Engineering student will be assigned a primary supervisor from the academic faculty, specifically chosen from researchers with experience at the Institute for Intelligent Systems Research and Innovation (IISRI). Additional associate supervisors, either from within or outside the institution, may be appointed to support the main supervisor. Candidates must fulfill specific attendance obligations and will produce a thesis presenting their research findings in their chosen field of study, as determined during enrollment. The program facilitates introductions between students and potential supervisors to explore suitable research projects.
To earn a Master by Research degree, candidates need to exhibit comprehensive expertise in their chosen discipline(s) by making significant scholarly contributions through proper research methodologies. This achievement is demonstrated through a thesis not exceeding 50,000 words, evaluated by external examiners. While research forms the core of the program, students must also successfully complete at least one coursework unit as part of their degree requirements.
