The Master of Social Work program equips you for high-level client engagement by adopting a methodology that empowers individuals, families, and communities to identify their strengths, overcome challenges, and enhance their overall well-being.
With a concentration on advanced direct practice, you'll refine your fundamental expertise, techniques, and ethical principles to become a more proficient practitioner. The curriculum primarily emphasizes advancing social equity through service provision in multicultural environments.
Complementing classroom instruction, your studies will incorporate two significant fieldwork components. We provide both a standard MSW track for students without a BSW background and an accelerated Advanced Standing option for qualified applicants. The initial practicum immerses you in working with vulnerable groups, studying social dynamics, analyzing policies, conducting research, and related areas. A subsequent advanced placement offers 30 additional weeks of hands-on professional experience.
