The Katz School's Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, located in New York City, stands among the select few SLP programs nationwide with a focus on medical speech-language pathology. Our graduate program employs an interdisciplinary methodology for assessing and managing speech, language, swallowing, and communication disorders throughout all life stages. Offering three study formats—full-time on-campus, full-time online, or part-time online—you can select the option that aligns with your commitments. During their time at YU, students complete four clinical externships, acquire telehealth proficiency, and receive hands-on training under expert faculty, supervisors, and mentors. The curriculum incorporates advanced technologies including endoscopy, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound for diagnosing voice, speech, and swallowing conditions. Students also develop essential counseling techniques to assist families navigating difficult diagnoses. Furthermore, participants can engage in professional conferences, collaborate on academic publications, and implement evidence-based approaches in clinical settings.
Candidates must complete the online application and submit the following materials:
Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
Résumé
Personal statement demonstrating a commitment to contribute to and complete the program
