The Research specialization aims to deepen MSN students' engagement with nursing research and cultivate potential for doctoral pursuits. This track features a seminar where participants master literature review techniques and draft initial proposals suitable for PhD program applications. Enrollees complete two graduate-level Research Seminar classes (NURS 6150 and NURS 6160), incorporating hands-on research practice. Through the practicum component, students develop research competencies by collaborating on faculty-led projects, dedicating approximately 3 weekly hours (45 hours per term) to active research participation. Faculty advisors help establish learning objectives and provide biweekly mentoring sessions to guide students' research development.
