The Family Nurse Practitioner program equips students with skills to evaluate, diagnose, and address common acute conditions while overseeing chronic health management across all age groups - from newborns and children to adults, pregnant women, and seniors. Our curriculum focuses on family-focused wellness initiatives, research-backed approaches for optimal results, and patient education.
Participants will fulfill 600 hours of supervised clinical training across multiple healthcare environments and patient demographics. Graduates will be eligible for certification through either the ANCC or AANP, as well as Michigan state licensure as Nurse Practitioners.
Applicants are evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
Possession of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a program accredited by a nursing professional accreditation agency, i.e., CCNE or ACEN, with an overall undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Current unencumbered Michigan RN license, or eligibility for same.
Internet based TOEFL (iBT, Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 80; or
TOEFL paper-and-pencil test with a minimum score of 550, accompanied by the Test of Written English (TWE) with a minimum score of 5; or
IELTS score of 6.5+; or
PTE Academic score of 53
