The Comparative Literature department's Graduate Program welcomes students to examine literature that transcends language and national borders. Our program pushes students to critically analyze literary theory, interpretation, and critique of worldwide texts while investigating intersections with related disciplines such as visual culture, linguistics, film studies, psychology, legal studies, philosophy, and history. We foster students' abilities in textual analysis while prompting them to think deeply about writing, reading, and literature's relationship to broader human experiences.
Applicants must have completed your undergraduate degree (bachelor's or equivalent) or will have completed it prior to your intended matriculation date at Yale.
