The Mathematics and Physics major enables students to delve deeper into the dynamic relationship between these two disciplines compared to pursuing either subject alone. In addition to foundational requirements, the program mandates at least fourteen upper-level term courses, including a senior thesis. A minimum of six courses must be Mathematics classes numbered 222 or higher, while another six must be advanced Physics courses selected with guidance from the major advisor. Only courses officially designated with Mathematics course numbers fulfill the math requirements – cross-listed courses from other departments do not qualify.
Applicants must have a completion of high school.
Applicants will have IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher and Pearson Test scores of 70 or higher. TOEFL scores of at least the following: 100 on the internet-based TOEFL; 25 on the paper-and-paper TOEFL Paper-delivered Test.
