Designed for highly driven students pursuing engineering careers, it provides the adaptability to explore various professional trajectories. Graduates of Yale's B.S. Electrical Engineering (ABET) program are expected to meet ABET's defined student outcomes and demonstrate: (1) proficiency in identifying, formulating, and resolving complex engineering challenges through engineering principles, science, and mathematics, (2) capability to engineer designs that address specific requirements while accounting for public health, safety, welfare, and global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic considerations, (3) effective communication skills across diverse audiences, (4) recognition of ethical and professional obligations in engineering scenarios, making informed decisions that account for the global, economic, environmental, and societal implications of engineering solutions, (5) effectiveness in team settings where members collectively demonstrate leadership, foster collaborative and inclusive atmospheres, set objectives, organize tasks, and achieve goals, (6) competence in designing and performing suitable experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and employing engineering judgment to reach conclusions, (7) capacity to obtain and implement new knowledge as required through appropriate learning approaches.
Applicants must have a completion of high school.
Applicants will have IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher and Pearson Test scores of 70 or higher. TOEFL scores of at least the following: 100 on the internet-based TOEFL; 25 on the paper-and-paper TOEFL Paper-delivered Test.
