Electrical engineering (EE) is a field focused on studying and implementing technologies based on electric charges, which are essential to all matter. Its study areas span from semiconductor devices to complex communication or control systems.
LMU's Electrical Engineering program offers a comprehensive, rigorous curriculum that includes core subjects like circuits, digital systems, electronics, communications, and electromagnetism, enabling students to grasp electrical systems and their design and application. Elective courses provide advanced learning in areas such as integrated circuits, wireless networking, and control systems. Senior design projects at LMU EE are collaborative, frequently involving partnerships with local industries. This yearlong experience reinforces students' integration of skills like theoretical knowledge, practical abilities, oral and written communication, and teamwork, which the program aims to consistently develop.
