At the Yale School of Music, percussion students engage with a diverse curriculum covering chamber, solo, and orchestral works through a uniquely comprehensive program. Weekly private instruction, studio seminars, and performances with the Yale Philharmonia and Yale Percussion Group form the core of their training. The New Music New Haven concert series regularly provides chances to work alongside composers on world premieres, building professional connections that extend beyond graduation. Graduates of the percussion program have established careers with renowned groups like The Percussion Collective, Sō Percussion, and Sandbox Percussion, secured positions with orchestras including the Oslo Philharmonic, joined the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and hold faculty appointments at prestigious institutions such as the University of Miami's Frost School of Music, University of Maryland, and California Institute of the Arts.
