The Drama Department, consistently ranked among the nation's top ten theater programs, merges extensive liberal arts education with specialized training across multiple theatrical disciplines. Each year, the department stages a diverse season featuring plays, musicals, and world premiere productions that explore different scales and performer-audience dynamics.

Students in the Honors Acting Program earn (1) an Honors in Acting designation on their official transcript and (2) nomination for prestigious U/RTA national auditions. Honors candidates may also participate in professional theater auditions alongside MFA students and attend advanced Actors Dynamics classes designed for graduate performers.
