Theatre students focusing on scenic, lighting, sound design, or technical direction can enroll in foundational and specialized courses covering Scene Painting, Period Décor, Scene Design, Stagecraft, Drafting, Sound Production, Lighting Design, and Props. Hands-on learning opportunities abound, including designing for dance performances and both studio and mainstage shows. Potential roles range from technical director and master electrician to props master, scenic artist, draftsman, or master carpenter.
Practical experience extends to working as a designer's assistant, makeup designer, hairstylist, craftsperson, cutter/draper, or milliner for various productions, offering diverse creative pathways in theatrical production.
