The woodwind program at UF cultivates versatile musicians with expertise in music history, theory, performance techniques, and teaching methods. Our curriculum equips students for diverse career paths or advanced studies post-graduation. Students receive personalized instruction and participate in studio classes led by our dedicated faculty artists. Performance opportunities abound through studio recitals, Woodwind Department showcases, School of Music events, masterclasses with visiting artists, and the yearly Concerto Competition. Additional performance experiences are available through regional ensembles and off-campus venues.
