With escalating climate crises, grasping Earth's systems and their connection to human activity grows increasingly vital. The Geography Major lets you examine atmospheric patterns, terrain features, and water systems while exploring how societal factors like global integration, population trends, city growth, and cultural identity formation influence our planet's landscapes and climate. You'll gain crucial analytical and solution-finding abilities applicable to diverse scientific, ecological, and policy-focused professions. Next, you'll apply concepts through practical work in our GIS and geoscience labs, plus field experience via internships or research projects with community partners. High-achieving students may qualify for Gamma Theta Upsilon, the global geography honors society.
