Within the Environmental Science Department, our faculty guide students in cultivating the expertise needed to emerge as future scientists, educators, knowledgeable community members, and practical solution providers. Below are significant national employment figures for environmental science professions, sourced from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and PayScale.
The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science curriculum examines human-environment interactions primarily through the lens of natural sciences. Foundational natural science courses establish the groundwork, while upper-level classes connect these principles to environmental issues. This structured approach ensures students develop a comprehensive environmental worldview. The culminating Senior Practicum course allows students to apply their knowledge to an actual case study, deepening their grasp of particular environmental challenges.
