Whether you're just out of college or already in the workforce, Wichita State's Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program equips you with essential knowledge and hands-on skills to become a fully qualified educator. The Transition to Teaching (T2T) initiative is a two-year alternative certification pathway that blends graduate-level classes with paid, full-time teaching at an accredited school. Designed for both career changers and recent graduates pursuing education, this program allows participants to meet licensure requirements within the initial 29 credit hours (two years). For those seeking the MAT degree, an extra seven research credit hours must be completed in the third year.
