This program focuses on teaching primarily theoretical concepts that students will later apply within the School Psychology curriculum. Participants will explore various counseling techniques and approaches to assist students in overcoming challenges they may encounter during school hours. The initial year involves 180 practicum hours, offering hands-on experience with both common and rare disabilities. After meeting these requirements, graduates will earn their Master of Education in Intervention Services degree and progress to the EdS program. The curriculum is thorough, cohesive, and structured progressively, aligning with school psychology standards established by the State of Ohio, NASP, and CAEP. Course content incorporates the latest developments in school psychology and education. Furthermore, the program places special emphasis on rare disabilities. A key priority is incorporating cutting-edge technology throughout the coursework.
