Anthropology examines the essence of humanity. This field scientifically investigates human cultures across the globe, both historically and currently, encompassing physical evolution and the development of varied ways of life. Through its cross-cultural perspective, anthropology offers a comprehensive understanding of the many dimensions of human existence.

Archaeology serves as the study of past human cultures. It employs scientific fieldwork and lab analysis to explore ancient societies and the impacts of cultural evolution by examining physical artifacts. Our Anthropology Department features an expanding archaeology program, engaged in both prehistoric and historical regional studies. We actively encourage student involvement in fieldwork at all academic levels, as hands-on experience is vital for professional advancement. While a bachelor's degree can provide entry into archaeology, pursuing master's or doctoral studies opens wider career prospects.
