The Master of Arts in Philosophy program provides in-depth exploration of core philosophical disciplines and historical traditions. The department features graduate-level coursework organized into three specialized tracks: Metaphysics and Philosophy of Mind, Epistemology and Philosophy of Science, and Theoretical and Applied Ethics. Candidates must select their concentration by the conclusion of the initial semester, though modifications may be permitted with faculty approval. Those pursuing the Metaphysics and Philosophy of Mind specialization are required to complete PHIL 6330 Metaphysics. The Epistemology and Philosophy of Science track mandates PHIL 6320 Theory of Knowledge, while the Theoretical and Practical Ethics concentration necessitates PHIL 6310 Ethical Theory.
