Western Michigan University's Bachelor of Science in integrated science prepares students for careers in secondary science education (grades 7-12). This comprehensive program offers foundational knowledge across life sciences, earth and space sciences, and physical sciences, equipping graduates to teach various science subjects at middle or high school levels.
While this program doesn't provide initial teaching certification, it creates a smooth pathway for pursuing integrated science certification through post-baccalaureate or graduate studies. Michigan schools actively seek educators with integrated science qualifications, making this degree an excellent starting point for your teaching journey.
