The Master of Science in Speech Pathology (SPA) program holds national accreditation from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's (ASHA) Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA). This full-time program spans two years, including summer sessions between the first and second years. Throughout each semester, students gain hands-on clinical training at diverse locations such as the WIU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and rehabilitation centers, working with individuals who have various communication challenges. The curriculum culminates with two off-campus practicum placements lasting 8-10 weeks each during the final semester.
