The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences provides a Master's program featuring three specialization areas: speech-language pathology, audiology, and speech-language-hearing sciences, though currently only accepting applicants for the speech-language pathology concentration. This concentration is designed to fulfill the certification requirements set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for speech-language pathologists. The program highlights competency-based educational experiences that equip students to analyze research and apply evidence-based practices clinically. The curriculum combines theoretical instruction with hands-on clinical training, covering assessment methods, therapeutic interventions, technological applications, counseling strategies, and developmental processes.
Anyone who has or will obtain a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a comparable degree from an officially recognized college or university outside the U.S. may apply for graduate admission.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.
