Biology stands as one of the fundamental scientific disciplines with direct relevance to human life. Western Illinois University's Biology curriculum gives students comprehensive exposure to biology's many specializations.
The program offers Biology majors with concentrations in Botany, Environmental Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Medical Sciences, and Science/Biology Teacher Education, along with Clinical Laboratory Science, all leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. Students can also pursue minors in Botany, Horticulture, Microbiology, Middle Level Science Teaching, and Zoology.
