The Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design combines artistic practice with an in-depth exploration of visual studies' historical and theoretical foundations. This interdisciplinary program teaches students to merge content with creative design to communicate powerful messages, both independently and in team settings. Participants gain hands-on technical skills, real-world professional exposure, and an understanding of ethical considerations in the field. The curriculum emphasizes how designers can drive positive social change and sustainability by participating in diverse cultural initiatives, fostering leadership through creative innovation in our rapidly evolving world. BFA candidates complete the same foundational coursework as BA studio art students, plus additional requirements including 6 art history credits, 30 design course credits, a 3-credit practicum, and a 3-credit thesis project.
