The Computer Science Department provides an integrated BS/MS degree option. The criteria for both degrees remain unchanged, with the exception that nine credits of approved graduate-level courses may count as free electives for the BS while also applying toward the MS, as long as the student completes both degrees within five years from their initial enrollment as a degree-seeking Purdue student, irrespective of major, campus, or enrollment gaps. Any additional graduate courses required for the MS must be completed after obtaining the BS. The BS remains the student's primary degree focus until conferred, while the MS serves as the secondary objective from Graduate School acceptance until BS completion. Throughout this phase, students must enroll in a minimum of one three-credit graduate course per semester.
