The Undergraduate Certificate is designed for students who lack sufficient Computer Science background for Master's program admission, as well as those focused on computer applications or seeking a certificate rather than a full Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Computer Science Certificate requirements:
CS110, CS210, Math140, CS240, CS310
CS341 or an approved Computer Science elective
One application-focused elective
Minimum 2.0 GPA across all certificate courses
All required courses must be taken for letter grade (no Pass/Fail option)
Important note: Completion may take approximately two years due to course prerequisites. Below you'll find a semester-by-semester program roadmap.
Students may begin the Computer Science Certificate program in any semester (spring, summer, or fall). The certificate typically spans 4 semesters because of prerequisite sequencing. Course prerequisites must be completed in the proper order.
