The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science features adaptable degree requirements, enabling students to fulfill their studies through a diverse range of CS courses. The Bachelor of Arts program takes an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating selected courses from other UMass departments alongside student-chosen electives, highlighting our discipline's wide-ranging impact.
Undergraduates can pursue either a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree through the College's programs. This curriculum equips students for cutting-edge careers in computing and prepares them for advanced graduate studies in computer science. Today, computing plays an essential role across numerous domains including biology, communications, education, environmental science, healthcare, law, arts, finance, manufacturing, transportation, entertainment, agriculture, energy, sports, and government.
