Designed for those seeking to develop advanced research and evaluation capabilities for evidence-based practice in social work and welfare at all practice levels. This certificate equips students to formulate research questions and employ both quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate program outcomes and effectiveness in addressing social issues. Participants will also gain expertise in applying research findings to practice theories and interventions. The program may appeal to prospective doctoral candidates in social work who require additional preparation time or wish to explore doctoral studies before formal enrollment. All coursework is selected from existing PhD program offerings. Requirements include completing 18 graduate-level semester credits within three years while maintaining a 3.0 minimum GPA.
