Wayne State University's Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree program is managed jointly by two departments within the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences: Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy Practice. The PharmD program director supervises the program with support from the Pharmacy Executive Council (PEC), comprising the deans of the Eugene Applebaum College and the department chairs of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy Practice. Key program committees include Admissions, Curriculum, Assessment, Awards and Honors, and the Committee for Academic and Professional Progress (CAPP). Under the Curriculum Committee, there are two specialized subcommittees: the Pharmacotherapeutic Problem Solving (PPS) Oversight Committee and the Experiential Committee. As the foundational degree for pharmacy practice in the U.S., the PharmD program at Wayne State spans four years, with an annual enrollment of about 100 students per class.
