The Environmental & Sustainability Studies program equips students with interdisciplinary thinking skills to tackle ecological issues and promote environmental justice in their communities. Though newly established, this timely major delivers a comprehensive education, upholding Wake Forest's legacy of innovative, cooperative learning.
The Environment and Sustainability Studies (ENV) Program aims to empower students to build equitable, sustainable tomorrows. Combining the hands-on approach of liberal arts with our dynamic professional schools, we train students to bridge academic disciplines when confronting environmental problems and taking grassroots action for ecological fairness. We prepare graduates to become courageous, morally grounded leaders who address environmental concerns through socio-ecological analysis, driving fact-based, imaginative, and ethical solutions.
