The Department of Marketing contributes to Pamplin College of Business MBA initiatives and provides two specialized tracks: an M.S. in Business with a Marketing Concentration emphasizing market analysis, and a Ph.D. in Business with a Marketing Concentration centered on fundamental marketing research. These competitive programs maintain high academic standards with tailored instruction. Enrollment is deliberately limited to foster close mentorship between professors and students. Core curriculum delivers comprehensive training in marketing scholarship, research methodologies, and statistical analysis. While maintaining rigorous standards, we accommodate diverse academic interests by customizing study plans. Doctoral candidates in Marketing may receive up to four years of funding contingent on satisfactory performance, with potential opportunities for summer teaching appointments.
