Our Elementary Education master's program launches in July during the second summer term. Initially, you'll study specialized subjects like arts education, children's literature, and social studies instruction while discovering Nashville as an educational environment. During autumn, the curriculum shifts to core subjects and teaching techniques for reading, English language arts, and mathematics. These studies are complemented by a learning ecologies course and hands-on school practicums, where you'll support multilingual students and communities with limited educational resources.

The spring semester, from January to May, involves student teaching followed by specialized courses addressing reading and science instruction for diverse learners. The program culminates with capstone project submissions and presentations in May.
