This 16-month graduate program is tailored for bachelor's degree holders with minimal educational experience. Upon finishing the program and meeting certification standards, participants earn a Master's in Elementary Education along with an M-level North Carolina teaching credential, qualifying them to instruct kindergarten through 6th grade. Both on-campus and online students complete field placements in K-5 public schools, dedicating at least 30 hours each semester. The culminating experience involves a full-time teaching internship supervised by both a mentor teacher and university faculty during the final term.
