The Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is structured as a 72-credit professional program typically completed in three years of full-time study. While it primarily equips individuals for ministerial work, applicants aren't required to have a firm ministry commitment upon admission.
Christian ministry involves interpreting and expressing faith while discovering how to manifest that faith in personal lives, church communities, and broader society. This program initiates an educational journey centered on comprehending Christian beliefs and their relevance to human existence.
The faculty maintains that every course should support this objective: examining historical foundations and traditions, contemplating matters of belief along with contemporary ethical, ecclesiastical, and social challenges, and addressing ministerial practices like worship leadership, sermon delivery, pastoral care, church management, religious education, and societal transformation. These interconnected studies and practices mutually inform one another. Ministers serve as theologians, integrating comprehensive scholarly analysis and thoughtful consideration into their diverse responsibilities.
