The Molecular Pathology and Immunology Ph.D. program offers advanced training in biochemical, cellular, and molecular research focused on understanding the root causes of human diseases. This graduate program enables students to combine knowledge from molecular genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, and immunology to conduct research aimed at developing innovative treatments and enhancing life quality.
With its wide-ranging curriculum, the MPI program presents numerous dissertation research options and prepares students for careers as independent biomedical researchers. Those particularly interested in microbial biochemistry and molecular biology—including bacteria, viruses, and related immunology and pathology—may explore our complementary Microbial-Host Interaction (MHI) program for specialized training.
Qualified applicants with bachelor’s or comparable non-U.S. degrees are eligible for admission to the Graduate School. Applications from international students with three-year bachelor’s degrees will also be considered.
