The cellular and molecular pathology (CMP) graduate program is a collaborative initiative between UW-Madison's Department of Pathology and the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH). This multidisciplinary training setting, situated within a dynamic basic and clinical translational research environment, delivers exceptional intellectual engagement for doctoral candidates. The CMP program introduces an innovative curriculum at the university, combining comprehensive instruction in contemporary pathobiology principles with a focus on biochemical, cellular, and molecular methodologies, while delivering thorough laboratory-based research experience in disease mechanisms. Participants engage in intensive pathobiology coursework and initiatives, receiving specialized research training focused on cancer pathology, neurological and immune system disorders, and cellular signaling pathways underlying disease processes.
International applicants must have a degree comparable to a regionally accredited U.S. bachelor’s degree.
