The Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies is a two-year graduate program structured with a 12-month classroom-based phase followed by 12 months of hands-on clinical training through supervised rotations. This program builds upon Valparaiso University's three-year undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BSHS) degree, forming the final component of the comprehensive 5-Year Physician Assistant Program (3+2 structure).
The MSPA curriculum offers BSHS students completing their prerequisite coursework the accredited final stage of their five-year educational journey. Through both theoretical instruction and practical clinical experience, the program equips aspiring physician assistants with essential professional competencies. Students must complete 101 credit hours within the MSPA program to graduate.
