Lawrence Technological University (LTU) is excited to introduce a new two-year Master of Science in Cardiovascular Perfusion (MSCVP) program starting Fall 2022, becoming Michigan's sole perfusion degree offering. Perfusionists specialize in managing life-support equipment like heart-lung machines during surgeries where patients require temporary circulatory or respiratory assistance. With a significant workforce shortage, attractive salaries, and rapid career entry, perfusion represents a highly sought-after healthcare profession.
LTU's MSCVP program collaborates with Comprehensive Care Services Inc. (CCS), a premier provider of perfusion and autotransfusion solutions to hospitals throughout North America. Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Nurse (RN)
Critical care experience within the last three years
A minimum GPA of 3.0, calculated using their entire RT or RN diploma/degree programs of study
Documentation which is relevant to training and/or experience (CV or resume)
A document or a letter from a recent employer confirming a minimum of one year of critical care experience within the past three years
An average score of 7.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The band score in each component must be 6.0 or higher.
A total score of 90 or higher on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Each section score must be 21 or higher.
