Valpo geographers focus on exploring the connections between individuals, cultures, landscapes, communities, and ecosystems. Your studies will involve charting and representing our intricate world through mapping. Earning a geography degree from Valpo prepares you for professional paths in sustainability, urban development, geospatial technology, and beyond. Our faculty involve students in research spanning urban studies, vegetation tracking, musical geography, soil examination, and creating 3D terrain models from aerial photos.
Every geography program at Valpo blends interactive coursework with hands-on learning to expose students to numerous career possibilities. Geography majors can earn either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree upon graduation.
