In your role as a medical laboratory scientist, you will utilize microscopes, computers, and advanced laboratory instruments and equipment. As a professional in the medical laboratory, you will inspect and analyze bodily fluids, tissues, and cells to detect bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms. Your responsibilities will include analyzing the chemical components of body fluids, crossmatching donor blood for transfusions, and testing blood for drug concentrations to assess treatment effectiveness. Additionally, you will verify the accuracy of test results, assist in their interpretation for physicians, or identify disease patterns for public health authorities. Qualification Requirements

All applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency in one of the following ways: An approved test score that meets the requirement for regular or conditional admission. University study: Completion of at least 18 months of full-time, for-credit academic study (approximately three semesters) at a recognized or accredited institution of higher education whose language of instruction is English immediately prior to enrollment at UWM. Secondary/high school study: Proof of completion of the last two years of secondary/high school at an institution whose language of instruction is English immediately prior to enrollment at UWM. TOEFL IBT - 79 or higher, TOEFL PBT - 548 or higher, IELTS - 6.5
