The biomedical science: medical and veterinary sciences program is grounded in the One Health Initiative framework, integrating human medicine, veterinary medicine, and environmental science. This demanding curriculum fulfills prerequisites for veterinary school, medical school, and graduate programs in biomedical science, while also preparing students for research careers in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or government and academic laboratories. The curriculum covers general biomedical science, pathobiology and disease processes, and health and environmental concerns.
UNH students participate in experiential learning through field studies, laboratory activities, and independent research projects utilizing our advanced facilities. Our pre-professional health advising office and pre-veterinary advising program guide students aspiring to medical and veterinary careers in selecting appropriate academic coursework and extracurricular experiences to strengthen their applications for these highly competitive programs.
Each student must have their official high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
English Language Score:
Minimum TOEFL score is 80 (internet version), 550 (paper version), 213 (computer version); recommended minimum IELTS score is 6.5; recommend Duolingo score is 105 or higher.
