The Environmental Sciences major meets the increasing need for a challenging, science-focused curriculum that fosters analytical skills and prioritizes solving environmental challenges for societal benefit. This program equips graduates to excel in entry-level roles within nonprofits and private industries, while also preparing them for advanced studies in environmental master's and PhD programs. Career possibilities span environmental assessment, advisory services, teaching, scientific investigation, urban planning, along with ecosystem conservation, rehabilitation initiatives, pollution control, sustainable development, and additional fields. Students pursuing this undergraduate degree gain the scientific foundation needed for diverse professional paths and advanced academic pursuits. The curriculum builds on essential studies in mathematics, biological sciences, chemistry, and physics. Students complete their degree requirements by selecting from interdisciplinary courses offered by both the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and the College of Letters & Science.
