Students who choose the CEM specialization will receive an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. Their academic record will show completion of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Construction Engineering and Management.
Students are required to fulfill these BS Civil Engineering components: Introduction to Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Basic Science, Mechanics, Tools, Breadth, Communications, and Liberal Studies. The CEM-specific requirements for Civil Engineering Design and Engineering Electives are detailed here, along with extra requirements for the CEM specialization. The CEM specialization requires 132 total credits, which is four more than the standard 128-credit requirement.
