The Master of Urban Planning (MUP) serves as the standard academic qualification for professional planners. Typically spanning two years or six quarters, this program requires at least 72 credit hours. Our accredited MUP coursework encompasses planning theory and history, technical competencies, and practical training through our sought-after studio classes, equipping students with the skills needed to excel as urban planners or designers. Participants select one of five specialization tracks or have the option to pursue a dual degree with another university program while completing their MUP studies.

The Graduate School is temporarily accepting official test scores for both the Duolingo English Test and the TOEFL ITP Plus For China to assist international students with remote testing options. This policy is currently in effect through the autumn 2021 admission cycle (i.e., students enrolling in autumn 2021).
