The Graduate Prosthodontics curriculum maintains strong ties with Periodontics. This comprehensive program covers Fixed Prosthodontics, Removable Prosthodontics, Implant Prosthodontics, and Maxillofacial Prosthetics. Historically, independent programs in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics received accreditation from the American Dental Association, with graduates eligible for American Board of Prosthodontics examinations. The present Prosthodontic graduate course spans 12 quarters (3 years). Upon completion, participants receive either a Prosthodontics Certificate or a Master of Science in Dentistry degree. Earning the MSD involves developing and conducting an approved research study alongside standard prosthodontic coursework and clinical practice.
